Shahrukh to board a local train

Shah Rukh Khan is in Goa shooting for his most ambitious film Ra.One. SRK is leaving no stones unturned to put the best in the film and now that director Anubhav Sinha wants to shoot in a local train he is getting one made.



He had the option of shooting at real sites but permissions and timings would be a problem, considering all that SRK got his art directors to build a brand new train for the movie.



It did take some extra effort for getting the train ready but it was certainly worth it. Now the team can shoot whenever they want as it looks as good as the real train.

Shah Rukh’s burning up the screen

A few days ago, Shah Rukh Khan tweeted about his bout of ill health. However, this has not kept the star from fulfilling all his professional commitments. The actor is busy shooting an advertisement for the toothpaste brand he endorses at Film City, since the last three days.
Shah Rukh was running a temperature of 104 degrees, but it did not let it hinder his shoot. SRK could have easily cancelled the shoot, instead he chose to complete the assignment. The shoot lasted several hours and required numerous retakes, which Shah Rukh gave patiently and without complaining. Since SRK’s co-star in the ad is child actor Keval, multiple shots were needed till Keval got it just right. But Shah Rukh played the perfect “dad”, encouraging Keval at every cut and keeping him entertained.
Now we know why SRK is called King Khan.

Mumbai, May 25 (IANS) Shah Rukh Khan’s dream project “Ra.One” might be taking some time on the technical front due to its unusual theme, but Arjun Rampal feels if all goes well, the sci-fi thriller will be “path-breaking”.

Arjun plays a villain in the Anubhav Sinha directed movie.

“We have been working very hard to bring a vision together. I think Shah Rukh is very clear about his vision, so is Anubhav. We are working as a team to achieve it. And if we achieve it, it would be a path-breaking movie,” Arjun told IANS.

The films is about a superhero who can freeze electricity and the actor says it will appeal to children.

“‘Ra.One’ is a very ambitious project. It’s a film that kids will enjoy for sure. It’s not only for kids but the idea is also to bring action to a different level. It’s hugely experimental,” he said.

Kareena Kapoor plays the female lead in it.

SRK holds a private screening

Around 30 friends of the Badshah of Bollywood — Shah Rukh Khan — got together two nights ago at Mannat to watch Hrithik Roshan’s latest movie.

Since Hrithik was travelling around the city for his promotions; the gang invited his wife Sussanne Roshan and Barbara Mori (who they have all grown very fond of) to join in the revelry.

Heard late at night, Hrithik too joined the party and he was beaming because he received endless compliments from many of his friends including the magnanimous SRK.

Cruising Star

It doesn’t take long for actor Shah Rukh Khan to grab eyeballs even when he is sharing the stage with a 100,000 pounds limited edition sports car and an upcoming F1 driver. So at the Asia premiere of the Tesla Roadster on Wednesday at the Ambience Mall, Gurgaon, it was Khan who held centre-stage even as the audience clamoured for more. “It’s always a nice feeling coming to Delhi . People here have been very kind to me,” he said, sending the assembled crowd into mass hysteria.

Dressed impeccably in a black suit, his trademark aviators in place, Khan, along with F1 driver Karun Chandok, both brand ambassadors of Tag Heuer was in the city to celebrate the 150 th anniversary of the Swiss brand, which coincided with the 15 cities’ tour of the zany new electric sports car. As the swelling crowd called out his name, Khan acknowledged them, flashing his dimpled smile, before turning to Chandok. “I have had the pleasure of being driven by one of India ‘s best F1 drivers today,” he said, even as Chandok blushed.

Incidentally, the Roadster which completely runs on electricity is capable of accelerating to 130 mph. “It can run for 400 km without any charge. We had to fly the car in from Russia for the India leg of the journey,” said Luke McClure, the test driver of the Tesla. HUL signs Shahrukh as Pepsodent brand ambassador

FMCG major HUL today said it has signed on Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan as the brand ambassador for its toothpaste brand Pepsodent and is likely to launch its first campaign featuring the star this week.

"Bollywood superstar and a devoted father in real life, Shah Rukh Khan has been signed on as a brand ambassador to lead by example and drive the campaign message," Hindustan Unilever (HUL) said in a statement.

The company said the new campaign called 'Papa & Pappu' is aimed at encouraging fathers to "spend quality time with their children and make brushing more fun."

While the company has not confirmed when the campaign will be on air, it is learnt that the TVC will be launched this Friday.

According to market research firm Neilsen, Pepsodent's market share in March in volume and value terms stands at 22.

SRK turns brand ambassador for toothpaste

After endorsing brands like Hyundai Santro, Linc pens, Navratna Oil and Tag Heuer, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will now endorse Pepsodent toothpaste.

In the ad campaign titled Papa & Pappu (P&P), Shah Rukh will be seen playing a doting father, while child artist Keval will play his son Pappu.

"Shah Rukh Khan is the best choice for ‘Papa’ in the campaign as the super successful actor also practices what he preaches. He is the perfect role model of a father who finds ways to spend time with his own children away from his active schedule and stardom," Srinandan Sundaram, Category Head - Oral Care, Hindustan Unilever Limited said in a statement.

Shah Rukh and his wife Gauri have two children - son Aryan and daughter Suhana.

Shah Rukh Khan: I wish I could tweet to my parents in heaven

May 19, 2010, (Sawf News) - Shah Rukh Khan was feeling sad he didn't get time to pay respect to his parents at their burial ground in his hometown Delhi.

The 45-year-old Bollywood superstar was in the capital for TAG Heuer's 150 years anniversary celebration event on May 19.

Shah Rukh launched at new watch at the event that alwo say India's motor racing prodigy and Formula One driver, Karun Chandhok, became the latest brand ambassador for the luxury watch brand.

After the event while at the Delhi airport for his flight back to Mumbai, Shah Rukh tweeted:

"in the airpor lounge & writing. wish there was a twitter in heaven...could write to parents. maybe should have gone to their burial place.

"tag was fun & very hot. delhi is burning.always enjoy tag outings...babin & co of tag r very elegant and fun. launched the pendulum watch."

Shah Rukh's father Taj Mohammed Khan was a freedom activist. His mother Lateef Fatima was the adopted daughter of Major General Shah Nawaz Khan of the Janjua Rajput clan, who served as a General in the Indian National Army of Subash Chandra Bose.

Khan's father came to Gurgaon from Qissa Kahani Bazaar in Peshawar before the Partition of India, while his mother's family came from Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

SRK reveals the mystery of Ra.1

He is a hero and the most desirable Bollywood actor in the overseas market. Already a superman at the B.O. as far as the overseas market is concern; Shah Rukh Khan who is donning the avatar of a superman in his next home production ‘Ra.1’ explains the title and reveals what’s the full form of Ra.1. He says “Ra.1 means Random Access-Version One, will understand when you see the film. Ra.1 site will be up soon.”

Well that’s the only information the superstar gave and many started wondering whether its was a khullasa (reveal) or was a smart ploy to add one more mystery to the film where Kareena plays his wife and Arjun Rampal will again show his negative shades after ‘Om Shanti Om’ and directed by Anubhav Sinha. Right now the shooting of the film has taken a back seat as the CEO of Red Chillies Entertainment - Bobby Chawla is still admitted in the hospital.

However, getting into his hi-fi costume is not a kid’s play for the actor as getting into this thick rubber tight fitting is such a tedious job that it takes nearly 40 minutes.

On top of this, the rubber suit sticks to his body and that makes the heat of Mumbai even more unbearable for the actor.

Also, since getting in and out of the suit is such a tedious job, the actor restricts his trip to the restroom only once during the shooting shift.

Given that the shift usually extends to 10-12 hours everyday, one has to admit it is quite painful. Well, the actor surely believes in the saying that ‘only pains lead to gains’.

Arjun Rampal's new bald look in Ra.One

He has played a myriad of characters through his career in Bollywood, however he is best suited for the darker characters he plays, and he is doing just that in Ra.1. The film starring the King of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan, will have Arjun playing the bad guy. But for this role, the model turned actor had to undergo a styling change.

The actor was spotted wearing a cap at the Raajneeti press conference on Saturday.


Apparently, is it said that Arjun will be sporting a bald look in the film with a temporary tattoo on his neck. Giving a hint about his latest look was the man himself on twitter saying, "Feeling light headed...no pun intended..thanks to the director producer...can't give out too much. Shahrukh Khan, who is one of the most nonchalant stars in real life, is an absolute delight in his micro blogging site twitter.

Every now and then, the star has something new for his fans on his twitter.

Vidya Malavade, who turned in a decent performance in Kabir Sadanand’s recent flick Tum Milo Toh Sahi, has suddenly decided to let the world know that Shah Rukh Khan is her lucky mascot.

Shah Rukh is Producing a Melodic Drama

Bollywood Badshah SRK is known for coddling his 2 children. And now, he is set to enrapture children across the realm with a new musical drama as he is going to produce for a Kid’s TV channel. It is informed by SRK’s production company that it is based on an inspiring voyage of a young boy who gets friends and a sense of belonging by music.

The drama is titled Ishaan as per a statement of Shahrukh’s production company.

The drama will include an album of eleven original songs. Other than several child artistes, Ishaan will see TV characters Shruti Ulfat, Rajinder Mehra and Rajiv Paul as the starcast.

RA.ONE progressing smoothly and briskly!

The shooting of Shahrukh Khan's Anubhav Sinha directed RA.ONE commenced in Goa on the auspicious day of Ram Navmi (just as we had broken the news). The venue then shifted to Film City Mumbai where an extended shooting schedule started on 18th April.

In between a few action sequences were shot in and around Mumbai (including one at a railway platform). The present locales of RA.ONE is still Film City and thanks to the generous, indulgent and highly cooperative producer SRK, the shooting is progressing flawlessly and briskly, without even a hiccup!

When Shah Rukh wore his sisters tights!

Shah Rukh Khan in his sister’s tights may sound little weird to his fans but yes our Bollywood superstar has done that when as a kid.

King Khan who is shooting for ‘Ra.One’ reveals that he used to love superheroes since childhood and to get into his superhero costume he used to take his sister’s help. “When I was a kid I used to tie a towel on my neck, wear my sister’s tights & my red swimming trunks on top. Also eye mask & wanted to fly.” He reminisces.

Apparently with Anubhav Sinha’s super action flick ‘Ra.One’ it’s just like fantasy come true for Shah Rukh. Shahrukh Khan: The Super star with a streak of boyhood!

What makes Shahrukh Khan the super iconic star that he is? Well, the fact that he is always driven by a streak of a small boy could be the attracting energy in him.
